Club History
Berkswell & Balsall Rugby Football Club (BBRFC) was founded by Les and Steve Edwards in 1981. From modest beginnings, the club has progressed and grown to fielding two regular teams, a Veterans team and a Mini & Junior Section ranging from U7 to U16. The club bought its current grounds on the outskirts of Balsall Common in 1998.
Teams
All ages, gender and abilities are welcome; no previous rugby experience is required. We offer quality 
coaching through the age groups and have a fully committed Coaching and Committee Team who ensure that every player learns, develops and most importantly enjoys the sport we love. We currently offer rugby for Mini & Junior Age Groups for Boys and Girls at U6 - U13, Boys at U15 and U17 and a Girls Open Age Tag Rugby Team.
Mini & Junior Rugby is on Sunday’s from September to May from 10:00 to 12:00 Come along and join our great rugby family and the amazing rugby community.
Rugby at Balsall Common Primary School
Having been linked to school for many years and supported the after school rugby clubs with referees during some of their games against other schools, we are now keen on broadening this relationship further and would like to see girls’ rugby taking off. A few projects are planned – watch this space!
