Title: PTA chair - We are actively recruiting!!

We are currently looking to fill the position of PTA Chair. 

The chair leads all PTA meetings and ensures the whole committee stays rooted, and focussed towards their aims. Sitting at the helm of the team, we need someone who is enthusiastic, ready to share new and innovative ideas and demonstrate strong leadership skills, calmly and empathetically.

What is the purpose of the Chair role:

To sit at the helm of the committee, ensuring that the PTA is run in line with its values and listens to the views of all members.

What are the responsibilities of the Chair role:

• Chairs and facilitates our PTA meetings in an empathetic and encouraging manner - Inclusive of all. 
• Hold the committee accountable to stick to set meeting dates and creates the agenda.
• Keeps the discussions within the meeting on track. 
• Delegates tasks to various committee members as and when required. 
• Ensures actions are completed, from conception through to implementation. 
• School liaison, to discuss fundraising opportunities and prioritise items. 
• Encourages new members to volunteer. 
• Keeps the team motivated. 
• Ensures the PTA is registered with regulatory bodies eg, the Charity Commission, and submits reports where necessary.
• Writes the annual report at the AGM. 

Qualities we look for in a Chair:

• Strong leadership skills 
• Diplomatic in communications 
• Fair and open to all opinions 
• Enthusiastic and eager to contribute 
• Good delegation skills
